Lovely staff, nice atmosphere and more importantly you get really nice salad and crisps on the side with your chosen sandwich. Always tasty soup and homebaking.

On a cold miserable day we went for lunch. A lovely bowl of tasty soup warmed the cockles and ham and cheese panini which was filled with thick ham and lovely cheese not the usual tasteless stuff you get in some places! Lovely log burning stove raging away to keep us warm! Would recommend

Very pleasant time at this cosy cafe! I’ve written this review three times and somehow failed to send it! Obviously better at visiting cafes than using a smartphone! Really want to do Karen and her staff credit for delicious toastie, scone and hot chocolate! Sorry I forgot to photograph the food! Nice atmosphere and chat. Only downside is toilets down short steep flight of stairs, problem for wheelchairs. Dog friendly though and parking on street available.

A lovely and homely place with a great selection of cakes, proper soup your granny would make, and yummy sandwiches/toasties. The only suggestion I would make is maybe a larger portion for the kids' sandwich option as it seemed very small for the price. Or even keeping it the same price but adding half a wee cake. However, this wouldn't stop us from returning.

A wonderful country village cafe. Keeping the local community invigorated with great coffee, soup, sandwiches.....and cakes!! Local gifts and products with exceptionally knowledgeable local owner who espouses the essence of how we should engage in the ethos of walking and exploring our local environment.
